The team at Echoes of Cryptalia marches on & without delay to our first testnet game launch in early 2025. But, in the meantime, we simply couldn’t bear to leave you hanging. To the reader: we believe in community building & also in rewarding with special care those who support us from the beginning.

In that spirit, we want to celebrate the start of our journey together with a really special treat: a 1,000,000 $ECHO Loyalty Program, featuring a wide array of playable NFT rewards as well as many other goodies that you’ll find in this article!

The following fact may surprise no one: the team loves games to its very core. We just couldn’t be satisfied with a gamified experience of plain questing around. Although those features are critical for its success, we wanted to sculpt our Loyalty Program with a twist to make it more interesting. A twist to showcase the skill of our artists & the capacity of our design team to deliver what matters most: fun.

Get comfortable, because a lot of cool stuff can only fit in a couple of pages worth of reading.

Let’s dig in.

First Steps

The first time you enter our Loyalty Program, you must sign up with your Passport wallet, powered by Immutable. If you don’t really know how to create one, don’t worry: just by clicking on the Sign In button, you may create your own just by providing your email address. Once you confirm the permission contracts, you’ll be all set and ready to look around.

We will receive you with some clarifications that we felt were necessary so that players from every skill level feel comfortable while fighting along their comrades for Restoration. Although the onboarding process is thorough, I’ll draw the basics for you:

You may choose between three pre-defined archetypes from the world of Echoes of Cryptalia: a Human Asskicker, an Elven Trickster & a Voidling Pactbound. They’re all awesome. Just let your heart decide.
When you’re done with that, you may begin completing quests. Some are very simple, like a follow on X. Others… well, let’s say you’ll find out as they arrive.
Of course, that’s far from all. That Hero you chose at the beginning has a mission: to join every member of the Echoes of Cryptalia community in a fight against terrible deformations of nature, called Shrieks. Whenever you pick a Shriek to fight, you’ll join that battle until the community efforts manage to defeat it! Combat is decided in an idle feature, as we refused to provide an oppressive experience. You may check in from time to time to watch the battle and the awesome animations of your Hero & to reap your rewards.
Shrieks will rotate, improve, and change locations, so you better prepare! Aside from collecting $ECHO and NFTs, our chest distribution provides an array of lore-filled items for your Hero to equip and be better prepared to face any challenge. A stronger Hero deals more damage and gets better rewards from killing Shrieks!
You must strategically decide which 6 items will be held by your Hero. For that, go to the tab named GEAR, where you’ll see what you own and what your Hero is actually using. You’ll open many chests in your travels, but your Hero can only carry so many. Be warned: whenever you want to unequip an item, you will lose it forever. CHOOSE. WISELY.
Don’t worry though, because we would never do that to your hard-won on-chain rewards: the unequip rule applies only for in-Loyalty Program items. Those precious, tokenized goodies will be stored in your KEEPSAKE & will remain forever tied to your Passport wallet. The assets will be airdropped as they become available during our development process.
Chapter 1 of our Loyalty Program will last for 60 days. After that, rewards in your Keepsake will be saved & users will be rewarded according to their position in the Merit Leaderboard. You are decorated with merit whenever you complete a Quest or participate in defeating a Shriek.

So, what can you win?

Yes, this is all good fun, but if there’s something better than having fun, it’s having fun with a nice reward system that values early participation within our community. As we said, we have injected an allocation of 1,000,000 $ECHO for Chapter 1 of our Loyalty Program. Additionally, users may win, through opening chests, one of 100 Hero NFTs destined to the program. Heroes are the main asset for our game and will be the backbone of your team after game launch!

On top of that, many useful goodies will be distributed throughout the next 60 days for several different uses that will grant participants an early in-game step forward. Packs of raw & refined materials, Upgrade Buildings & our soft currency Phonite are just some among many! Here’s how it breaks down:

We already talked about Chests. There are four different types of them: Normal, Legendary, Epic &… Marrow Chests. The first three you’ll find across the program in multiple formats and they all grant different tiers of items according to rarity with Epic & Legendary Chests having a chance to open Phonite & $ECHO. Legendary Chests may also contain NFT Heroes! As for the Marrow Chests, well, they come straight up from the killing of a Shriek and will contain some of the most powerful in-Loyalty Program items, so look up for those.

You may obtain Chests by completing Quests or by defeating Shrieks. So, during the Program, these will be your day-to-day inputs for different items & on-chain rewards. But that’s not all you’ll get for your great deeds: every victory, every action towards Restoration will decorate you with Merit. During the entire Chapter, players will be recognized with merit and compete with other community members in our Leaderboard, which will provide further rewards for our most decorated loyalists! Whenever you surpass a certain threshold of Merit, you’ll be guaranteed to receive the respective reward, along with every reward from previous tiers. The thresholds are the following:

Starting with DO at 440 Merit, you’ll be eligible for a Raw Materials NFT Pack, containing key resources for game progression & basebuilding.
RE at 880 will grant a player a Refined Materials NFT Pack, which are processed, ready-to-use crafting materials.
Players who reach MI with 1320 Merits, will each receive a random Upgrade NFT, which are buildings that empower your Headquarters and extend the reach of your actions as a Master Tactician.
FA players, those who reach 2200 Merit, will add to their winnings a randomized Crafting Object Pack, which contains special objects or Artifacts that unlock special events during gameplay.
If you reach SOL with 3520 merit, you might wanna consider becoming a master crafter, as you’ll receive a Premium NFT Crafting Object that will enable exclusive recipes for your creations!
With 5720 merit, players who reach LA will receive a Special NFT Artifact that unlock traits for one of their Heroes! By completing an in-game Lore Quest while holding this item, a Hero NFT will be imprinted with a special trait forever. Traits change everything surrounding a Hero, from NPC interaction to special events!
Finally, by collecting 9240 merit, SI players will receive a Premium NFT Artifact that grant traits unavailable through any other means. That’s exclusivity right there.

Reaping the Rewards of a Kill: Whenever you participate in defeating a Shriek, you’ll get 30 merits + at least 1 Phonite. Players who dealt the most damage will receive additional merits for their bravery. A killing is also rewarded with 1 Legendary Chest for every participant and a 15% chance for a Marrow Chest. Top 15% players in that battle will receive one additional Marrow Chest.

When Chapter 1 ends, every remaining $ECHO from the 1,000,000 pool will be distributed as follows:

50% of it will be distributed in equal amounts between the 15% top players of our Merit Leaderboard.
The other 50% will be distributed in equal amounts between 15% of lucky participants chosen at random.

It does not matter if you are a competitive minded player or a casual enjoyer, our Loyalty Program has space & rewards for everyone.

Finally, to be very clear: Since we have to avoid any kind of bot-spamming shenanigans, on-chain rewards that you collect during the Loyalty Program must be claimed through a KYC process. This is a necessary caution against exploits that only hurt the community.
