Year 37. March.
It was King Tebu I who raised the alarms. A distant, yet unwavering disturbance began to take root across the Mortal Kingdoms. Living creatures suffered either deformation or death, there and there again, precisely where the tragedy of war pierced deepest. It wasn’t long after the events of The First Hybris, chants still a young marvel & strange object of study, when we heard the first SHRIEKS reverberate in shadowy night. Thirsty. Lurking. A Council was formed and its conclusions were clear: if the might of the gods’ Fractures was overwhelming in the battlefield, the wounds they left behind through the lands bled fresh enough to make them barren & hateful — perhaps for good.
The First Phalanx of Echoes was Called upon to Rise and contain those places of divine deformation, hideous yet bearers of opportunity. The Phalanx, vanguard in the domestication of $ECHO, claimed it for our civilizations and, years later, fought bravely in The Second Hybris as well. Today, for the third time in History, The Council of Echoes chants The Call for everyone to hear: Peace demands for a NEW PHALANX to RISE.
Will you become a FATESHAPER?
Master Tacticians, aspirants to the Third Phalanx! You’ve been Called to RISE for the cause of restoration & free the continent from the dangers of the Cryptalia. The Council of Echoes makes no distinction among you, all equal in spirit and position if you are brave enough to march on. Nevertheless, you still have to prove yourselves in the battlefield before you are allowed to stand proud amongst those who give mold to the fates of multitudes. Echoes of Cryptalia is ecstatic to announce the arrival of Trials of Kü, the first milestone towards the full release of FATESHAPERS. Trials represent the necessary test that every member of The Phalanx of Echoes must overcome to be deemed worthy of such a title.
What are the Trials of Kü? Well, as I’ve mentioned before, FATESHAPERS will contain multiple game modes: our narrative campaigns, an infinite dungeon, the rebranding of our Loyalty Minigame &, of course, the Trials of Kü: a unique play experience that combines 3vs3 combat & Hero building in roguelite setting. This concept, which may sound strange, is actually quite simple. Here’s the rough idea:
- The Trial of Kü is a succession of 9 Battles in 3 different Cryptalia.
- Starting near the Eastern Shores, Heroes must overcome the perils of
- Agonitas, Fertile Death
- Zandemyr, Shattered Axe; and
- Hilare, the Stone Witnessto get to Kü, Deep-Voiced Pillar, the mountains created by The Great Arbiter’s attempt to stabilize the damage that torn the continent apart: Their Perpetual Staccato.
- Every time a player joins the Trial, they will choose 3 Heroes to bring to the adventure. The party, however, will start the Trial without any Gear at all and enter the first battle with their bare hands.
- Whenever a Master Tactician wins a Battle, they’ll get to choose 1 among 3 randomized Gears to equip one of their Heroes. Gear not only will provide stat boosts for: some will even grant them a new Chant!
- Player progress will be saved every time they beat the 3 battles of a Cryptalia.
- In this way, after 6 Battle wins, Master Tacticians will command a party of Heroes equipped with 2 Gears each — be strategic on the items you pick and the Hero you will equip with it! The 4 available classes are quite different from each other and have good use for a diversity of stuff.
- Whenever a player completes the 9 Battles of the Trial and arrives to Kü, they will be rewarded with a playable Echoes of Cryptalia NFT item.
Note: These Battles count for the 3 daily wins that get Holders their rightfully claimed $ECHO.
Trials of Kü will be the first game module from FATESHAPERS to inhabit our new domain: play.cryptalia.quest. The other 3 Game Modes will be added during the weeks after that, in our BUILDING IN PUBLIC strategy for development, to finally give birth to FATESHAPERS during May, providing players with an evolving, ever richer setting with new things to do and explore. Trials is a beautiful game mode: there are no 2 identical runs, since you will always receive different Gear to manage, face different enemies & be subject, as all Wills (even those from the gods), to the Fates.
You may play as many runs as you like, but you will only receive a max of 1 NFT daily. Of course, this is a separate reward from the $ECHO that Holders will earn by playing — and, let me tell you, oh BOIS how we have amped the $ECHO rewards for battle. Expect a heavy increase, not joking at all. Trials of Kü will also mark the debut of our new battle UI, which is absolutely gorgeous, and contains improved player feedback to provide better clarity to events. A new visualization of the dice throw with an updating advantage bar, as well as the implementation of a LOG, will serve as strong anchors for players to understand deeper our system.
And you, Master Tactician that haven’t had the opportunity to mint your GENESIS Unbreakable Oath, will get your chance at last. Tomorrow we will announce the details of the continuation of our Mint Process, which had to be interrupted due to reasons external to our team. Three things about the process I can confirm you right now:
- The Mint will be during the first days of May.
- The Total Supply of our GENESIS Unbreakable Oaths will be 3,000, much less than the 10,000 of the original design.
- It won’t involve a Whitelist process.
There’s never been a better time to Hold a GENESIS Oath than now. The Trials of Kü are just the tip of the iceberg that FATESHAPERS represents, where we will tell you the fatidic story of the events that provoked, ended, and perpetuated deep enmities between gods and mortals alike. With ever improving art, freshly recorded original music, thoughtfully written narrative campaigns and a deep system for all of you, grinders at heart, not even to count the strengthened efforts of allies old and new, a New Era for our project, Echoes of Cryptalia, has come.
The Era of THE THIRD PHALANX.
THE PHALANX WILL MARCH ON
