Deafscreeches, Windshifts, and other Shrieks have returned stronger than before and our brave warriors did not hesitate to confront them. Last week we witnessed first hand the power of a Level 2 Shriek. From now on, the threats will be bigger and bigger and our Master Tacticians will have to refine their decisions even more. That is why today I am sharing with you some general basics of how this automatic community combat against the Shrieks’ work.
Originally, we designed the game so that the way its pieces interact can be deduced by the community working together, comparing notes, checking their items and results. But the puzzle, although widely well received, proved a pinch tougher than we thought for incoming players, so we decided to clear most questions about the basic innerworkings of the autobattler system of our Loyalty Program.
The Battle of Hundreds
Each battle against a Shriek happens thanks to the collaboration of the champions representing each Master Tactician and other allies that support them on the battlefield. We wanted to imagine how the contenders would behave and simulate this behavior in the best possible way.
The Shriek
On the one hand, there’s the Shriek, which has some public information: a certain amount of health, an attack type, a resistance type and a weakness type. Every hour that passes, the Shriek attacks the mass of fighting Heroes, damaging all participants. This is their behavior until his health reaches 0 and he is defeated.
United Against the Enemy
On the other hand, all Heroes have a fixed amount of health that allows them to withstand the onslaught of the creature. As long as their health is above 0, they can keep on fighting. While active, the heroes perform 3 attacks per minute by combining all their attack items. When an attack item matches the Shriek’s resistance, it will do less damage than usual. On the contrary, if an attack item matches the Shriek’s weakness, it will do extra damage with each hit.
There are support squads in the proximity of the battle and they are dedicated to rescue the wounded heroes and patch their wounds. Once the hero has restored all his vital points, he returns to battle. All of this happens automatically, without the intervention of the player.
Defense items
Defense items, on the other hand, enhance your ability to resist the attacks of the beast. A defense item gives you resistance to a particular element, but if the Shriek is not using that type of attack, wearing the defensive item will still provide a health bonus proportional to its Tier. This health bonus is equivalent to having an item with the correct resistance of a lower Tier.
Other items to hold your ground
Regeneration rings slowly partially heal champions over time. That is why the more defensive items you have, the more health the ring will provide during combat.
The evasion cloaks provide a Dodge index. During combat there are so many attacks that a Shriek performs, that it is correct to estimate that the % of Dodge you have is, in practice, the % of the attacks that do not harm you.
Everything in its Right Place
It all adds up. It’s possible to accumulate 100% Dodge, it’s possible to resist more damage than a Shriek does and thus ensure that you will be hitting 100% of the time. What you have to consider is that each item you use to stay in battle is one less space for the damage you do with each hit.
We hope that with this information you can better plan your battles.
Stay tuned. More & more news will soon come out into your attention: 2025 is full of surprises for our community!
